10 Tips For Teaching Body Percussion (When We Can’t Sing)

Article Contents

In this video I talk about using body percussion with songs to develop group music making , explore rhythms and phrasing and foster an enjoyment of playing together. I show how to take and make graphic score images and how to support traditional counting and notation methods with graphic scores, as well as how to build gradually increasing levels of difficulty in the music, in a range of ways. How to support yourself and colleagues in leading young people in music making, and how to use and organise PowerPoint to support both.
